Floor Hockey
Objectives:
1. Students will regularly encourage others and refrain from negative statements
2. Students will be able to control the "puck" while moving throughout the gym.
3. Students will be able to accurately strike a hockey puck into a target (A goal) at 15 ft over 60% of the time.
4. Students will demonstrate their knowledge of the rules of hockey by following all protocol during game play.
Day 1 – Introduction to game, terminology, Safety Rules, Stick Handling
Day 2 – Review stick handling, play stick handling game (1 on 1)
Day 3 – Introduce Passing, Passing Drills
Day 5 – Review Passing, Mini-game (Stick in Middle)
Day 6 – Introduce Shooting, Shooting Drills, Face off
Day 7 – Game Rules: Positions: Begin gameplay
Day 8 – Play regulation game
